Dr. Brown grew up in Royston, a small town in North Georgia. Both his
father and grandfather were respected physicians in the area. He went to high school in Atlanta at Westminster, graduating
in 1973, then attending North Georgia College until graduating in 1977 with a BS in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Brown
then obtained his MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1984. His surgical training was completed at
the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta in June of 1989. He has been actively involved in surgical practice
in Moultrie since completing his residency, and has been a partner in Surgical Associates of South Georgia, PC since 1996.
He lives in Moultrie with his wife and children. The family attends First United Methodist Church.

Dr. Brown has served in numerous positions of leadership on the medical staff at CRMC. He
has been the Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff, as well as serving on many other committees during his tenure in Moultrie.
He also served a nine-year term on the Colquitt Regional Medical Center Hospital Authority, having been appointed by the county
commission, where he served with distinction. Dr. Brown was named a "CHAMPION" of CRMC for his devotion to
charity work in and around Colquitt County. He has been a member of numerous missions to underprivileged countries to
provide medical care and build both medical and church facilities.

Dr. Brown performs a wide variety of surgical procedures. He has interest in oncological, vascular,
and laparoscopic procedures. He is involved with local sports teams, where his children are very active, and is personally
active in various sports, including skiing and marathon running.
